Urban Institute Honored at CataLysT

The Charlotte Urban Institute was one of the honorees at CataLysT, hosted by the Levine Museum of the New South. The recognition represents the Museum’s ongoing work to foster community partnerships, allowing them to expand their work and build community. The Institute was a resource in understanding ongoing issues affecting our local community, informing responsive programming. . CataLyst was a celebration of Charlotte’s rich history and dynamic cultural diversity, and brought together influential leaders who play a key role in helping build stronger, more equitable communities across Charlotte. “The Urban Institute is honored to be recognized and support Levine Museum’s cohesive efforts to build community connections in exciting and innovative ways” said Angelique Gaines, research associate at the Urban Institute who is also a member of the Museum’s Programs Community Advisory Committee.
As a unit of urbanCORE’s Community-Oriented Research Engagement, the Urban Institute, serves as the hub of Charlotte’s applied research and community outreach. The Institute is committed to seeking solutions to the social, economic, and environmental challenges by conducting actionable research and policy analysis that enable building stronger communities.
