Dr. Tamara Johnson Nominated for the Charlotte Ledger’s 40 over 40 Award

As part of Women’s History Month, we are celebrating the nomination of Dr. Tamara Johnson, Director of Engaged Scholarship for urbanCORE, for the Charlotte Ledger’s 40 over 40 Awards. These awards are a prestigious tradition honoring people over 40 years old who are making Charlotte a better place. Nominees represent unsung heroes comprising of businessmen/women, nonprofit leaders, community volunteers, healthcare and education workers from diverse backgrounds.

Dr. Johnson was chosen as one of 122 people working to make an impact across Charlotte. Awardees and nominees will be recognized at a 1980s-movie themed awards gala on April 27.
